2026 UPDATE!

Hello everyone! Thank you for visiting! I keep this blog up because it still maintains regular traffic. I started it in 2006 - twenty years ago - during a time of great distress in my life; although it was quite turbulent, writing and sharing my art here helped me right the ship. In 2002-2006, had found myself lost in the weeds, and feeling very distant from who I am as an artist. Thankfully I was able to find my way back to my artistic self through many workshops, atelier studies and finally, explorations of my own vision. I've written extensively here about my studies. If you arrived here looking for suggestions about learning to improve skills, I hope my blog can provide some insight. 

One note: although the blog url is named, "Julia Lundman Midlock", my name is Julia Lundman. I have been hesitant to change the url name of this blog because of the bookmarks and traffic that still flow to this site. There are also some photos missing in some posts. That is due to changes in my flicker account or obsolete links. 

I have a website that I regularly update with new art. That can be found HERE.

Once a year I have an online Studio sale from my shop on my website, usually in November. If you sign up to my newsletter, you will be notified in October about what will be on sale in November. (I am also building out an Etsy shop - hopefully to launch in full next year.)

I have a Patreon account which is free to join! There, you will find a lot of posts about materials and techniques, as well as new art and news.
